Eaton Hill Wildlife Sanctuary

The 35 acre tract of Eaton Hill was purchased by the Sonora Industrial Development Corporation in 2000.  Both the directors and the citizens of Sonora wanted to preserve this area in its natural state.  There are approximately 3 miles of hiking trails, several wildlife feeding stations, and inspirational views of the surrounding area.  Many different species of birds migrate through this area at different times of the year.  There are bird viewing stations located on the hill.  For more information about Eaton Hill, call (325) 387-2651.  The sanctuary is open from dawn to dusk seven days a week.  There is no charge.

Visit the Eaton Hill Wildlife Sanctuary Website.

Visit the Caverns of Sonora which is locate approximately 12 miles southwest of Sonora.  Take I-10 west and take exit 392.
